Qualified Drone Pilots
Each of our expert pilots hold industry standard BNUC-s qualifications from EuroUSC. They then undergo further in-house training to hone their skills to ensure a safe and efficient flight every single time. We also work with accredited engineers and drone consultants with aviation and safety management.
Permission to Fly
We hold a Permission for Aerial Work (PFAW) from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) which allows us to operate commercially up to 400ft. This means you don’t have to worry about breaking any airspace rules – we take care of all permits beforehand.
UAViate is fully insured for all drone operations, and one of few companies insured for taking off and landing on a boat. Our public liability insurance is valid worldwide up to the value of £5 million – so you can rest assured if anything does go wrong you won’t be out of pocket.
UAViate are leading the way in the UK and internationally for innovative drone projects. As pioneers in the field, we have achieved many industry ‘firsts’ – including flying drones for a Hollywood blockbuster!

"The safety management systems employed by UAViate were second to none and UAViate were willing to work with us to ensure airfield operations were not interrupted or put at risk during the aerial photography detail. "− Mike Glen, Airside Operations Policy and Planning Officer, Southampton International Airport
All of our drones are built with aerial filming and photgraphy in mind, with specially designed aerial platforms to carry the load of the equipment. The robust cameras are carefully mounted to ensure stable drone footage every single time.
When the team arrive on site to produce your drone video you’ll notice that everyone has a different job. The pilot is there to ensure the safety of everyone involved and oversee the project. The camera man can then focus on getting the ideal shots and angles, and can communicate with the client throughout the operation. This creative direction is key to achieving professional results.
We’re here to help every step of the way, including the post production process. From editing to colour correction, we ensure the aerial photography or film we have recorded is of superior quality.
Recording aerial video can be a huge job, and we understand the level of responsibility required to deliver the best results. Our professionalism can be noticed through all communications and we love making our clients happy. We’re yet to come across a dissatisfied client!
We love flying drones, creating stunning shots and innovative film footage. From the planning stage to the post production, our team really try and understand your projects and its goals, ensuring effective results.
Receiving Your Footage
Once the drone technology has done its job, your aerial footage will then enter UAViate’s post production studio for the editing process. Once the aerial video has been edited to your satisfaction, we can then upload the footage to the cloud making it easily shared between colleagues, customers, friends and family.
